While it may seem like the news has been slow lately, lots of things have been happening behind the scenes. Here’s a quick Friday update:
The exchange backend has been completed, and the current focus for the dev team is stress and load testing escrow interactions. It’s important to test every conceivable scenario to ensure that p2p order matching works as intended, and multiple trades from a single escrow are executed as efficiently as possible. The next round of testing and development includes the marketplace backend and UI/UX. While it’s still too soon to announce an official date for the open beta release, we can assure our community that we’re entering the home stretch.
We’re still deciding which company we’ll end up using, but in the coming weeks our smart contracts will be reviewed by a third-party auditing firm. We’ll share those results at the conclusion of the audit.
Marketing is currently focused on organic, social media objectives until we have a release date for the open beta. Large scale marketing campaigns will only be deployed to coincide with the release of HAT.Exchange open beta.
